ISU KEKELUARGAAN DAN SOSIOBUDAYA MASA KINI: PUNCA DAN PENYELESAIANNYA BAGI INPUT PELAN PEMBANGUNAN DAKWAH DI MALAYSIA The Current Familiar and Sociocultural Issue: Causes and its Solutions for The Da’wah Development Plan Input in Malaysia

Abstract

Socio-cultural (SC) changes and development, and family life (FL) in Malaysia are important aspects especially in this fast-moving era. Social and family problems are still alarming and continuously increasing including drug addiction, moral issues, disharmony in family relation, internet addiction, divorce, underage sex, abuse and neglect of rights. This article aims to identify the issues of SC and FL that are happening particularly accordingto experts and  observation from parties whom directly involved in communities such as security forces, religious members, reseachers, motivators, government agencies and non- governmental organisations. This article also analyzes the cause of the issues as well as identifying proposed solutions to be advised to Islamic agencies as inputs especially in planning strategic da’wah plans or efforts in the future. The study was conducted qualitatively using expert interview methods as focus groups (FG) and document analysis. Among the findings showed that the four main issues occurred nowadays that are becoming public concerns, which are social problems, gadget abuse and cyber addiction, stress of managing families and careers, senior citizens and disabled children as well as long distance or commuter families. Several causes and recommendations have been presented from the specialist group including providing continuous strengthening of faith, morals and sharia as well as parenting education knowledge.
