Communication issues are one of the main causes of marital dissolution within a family. Practicing good communication can create a harmonious family. This study discusses the concept of da’wah communication as an essential element in family institutions based on the approach taken by Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) demonstrated an extraordinary example in interacting with his wives, children, and relatives through communication filled with love, gentleness, and wisdom, which also serves as an effective guide for da’wah. This is based on the concepts of qawl sadidan (truthful words), qawl ma'rufa (good words), qawl baligha (clear words), qawl maysura (gentle words), qawl layyina (soft words), and qawl karima (noble words). The study explores the importance of communication based on Islamic values within the family to foster harmonious relationships and trust. This study uses a qualitative research design. Data was collected through content analysis and analyzed thematically. The findings of the study indicate that effective and respectful communication within the family can build noble character, cultivate respect, and strengthen affection. The study recommends the application of Islamic communication principles as a da’wah approach that can strengthen the family institution, build a faithful generation, and contribute to the formation of a morally upright society.
Dayang Sakini Mohd Kadri A’dawiyah Ismail Khazri Osman Copyright (c) 2024 JURNAL YADIM : International Journal of Islam and Contemporary Affairs 2024-12-31 2024-12-31 4 2 1 21 10.61465/jurnalyadim.v4.214
